I stopped into a small antique shop in Litiitz, PA,
in the fall of 2011 and inquired about pens. The owner offered a
pen of her grandfather's, which turned out to be a Conklin 2NL still in
the original box. It has been used, but not much, and because of
being in the box, has not oxidized to any noticeable extent.
It needs a new ink sac and the nib is a bit tarnished, but otherwise it
is excellent.
The nib is fine with considerable flex. The box has a
sticker, presumably from the store that originally sold the pen "Zook
Lancaster"
